I’ve always perferred books, series, and my own writings with male characters. Perhaps it is because I am not male, or maybe it really is just a preference. Anway, I do have a few favorite female characters, but fewer than I do favorite male characters. Again, I’m not sure why. It’s not that I instantly love all male characters, but I do like them sooner than I do the female characters in a series. I do have male character that I dislike, as well as female characters that I don’t like, but I much more frequently I have a “neutral” opinion on female characters.
I feel kind of bad for that. Not because I’m a female and feel “entitled” to like other female characters, not at all, but instead I want to have the same feelings for characters in the series and like more female characters just so I can have more “favorite character moments” in the series, as many female characters make up the series that I enjoy.
