There are few fictional characters that I love more than Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist. Even though he appears for only a short time, he is the subject of countless fan creations (some of which appear above). Even when he becomes a Nazi in The Conqueror of Shambala, we still love him. Hughes is just plain awesome, just watch out for the knives.
