Marvel Comics publicó entre 2002 y 2007 una colección donde aparecen los personajes del universo Marvel interpretados tal y como serían en la actualidad, ambientada en un universo alternativo al de las historietas clásicas. En este universo llamado Universo Ultimate, los Vengadores son conocidos como Ultimates. Pese a lo radicalmente diferente del enfoque, las apariciones de los miembros respetan a grandes rasgos el orden en que ocurrieron en la versión original. La historia comienza con Bruce Banner, Tony Stark, Henry Pym y Janet Van Dyne y el rescate del Capitán América. En la primera gran batalla del grupo se suma Thor y posteriormente se unen Quicksilver (también conocido como Mercurio), la Bruja Escarlata, Ojo de Halcón y la Viuda Negra (que, en la versión original, si bien fue miembro más adelante, estuvo presente poco después del primer gran recambio de integrantes)

Cross Game Episode 42 Synopsis & Review

Synopsis

Summer Koshien is almost here. With that, Seishu is getting more pumped up for the upcoming baseball matches. This episode displays pieces of music that really stick out from the rest of the show. The easy going and nostalgic melodies of the background music add to the soothing pace of this episode. The romantic pace is picking up too.

Momiji playing catch with Kou

The baseball players confirm their attraction to Aoba, and so does her cousin. Akaishi walks Akane home without waking Kou, Junpei introduces Ichiyo to his family, Nakanishi and his girlfriend are getting along quite well, and so is Momiji and her boyfriend. Senda and Azuma do batting practice while everyone is out and about. During the batting practice, Azuma gives Senda advice on how to improve his role as the 1st batter of Seishu.

Ozaki drops by to practice with Aoba, while Kou and Akaishi practice in their usual spot in the forest. The intense match-up between Aoba and Ozaki ends up with 2 strikes and 3 balls. Aoba’s last pitch is her fastest fast ball yet, causing Ozaki to swing and miss. It seems Seishu is ready for their first baseball game.

Overall it is a great episode. It develops the slice of life side of the show and prepares us for what’s next. I’m looking forward to the baseball matches to see how much everyone has improved. Hopefully the romantic developments continue to progress amidst the games. Closer and closer we get to the end of the show (9 more episodes perhaps) and to realizing Wakaba’s dream.

Addicting Anime Nagasarete Airantou

Aright so i forgot to post this yesterday it is the anime that got alot of people I know addicted to anime (over 8 people got addicted to it this week 0.0. Though I have not finish this anime yet I know all of you will enjoy it) This anime is about a boy who runs away from home and boards a ship, but the ship is suddenly hit by a huge storm that sends main main character overboard. When he regains consciousness , he finds him self on a strange island (yes the sailer men were too lazy to save him) and finds out that he’s the only guy on the island. Dance in the Vampire Bund after episode 03

The second and third episodes revealed the true nature of this show, and they were better than the almost arduous to watch first episode. There is a clear animation style at play here: the show has a propensity to display shots of high contrast, usually an area where it is bright, and another dark. There is also a tendency for leg and skirt shots that borders on revealing the inner undergarments (if they are wearing any) of these pretty girls. In line with previous Shaft works, some shots are almost artistically driven. I would describe Dance in the Vampire Bund as a deeply atmospheric, gothic-like, and somewhat teasingly sexy anime. Anyways, while I can appreciate the deliberately crafted presentation of Dance in the Vampire Bund, so far the only character I care about is Yuki. She is a nice homely girl who unfortunately I fear may eventually lose her romantic pursuit.

Umineko no naku koro ni (when the seagulls cry)

Battler Ushiromiya and  his family decide to go to see their grandfather/father Kinzo after he has according to them diseased. What they do not know is that he has a contract with Beatrice the golden witch. He lives by himself on an island named Rokkenjima, his immense wealth and status are to be thanked by this same witch. In the main hall of the house there is an epitaph, consisting of 9 things that have to be solved and happened before one can enter the Golden Land.

Battler and his family are eager to solve this problem because this will mean immense wealth for one of them. At some points the vieuwpoints of the characters will change in a way beyond imagining. But this red-headed boy is persistent. He doesn’t believe in witches, then how can Beatrice exist? Every night one by one the family members will die as long as no one solves this incredibly difficult epitaph. Aunt Rosa, her husband and George have their own reasons for wanting to win this. Also, the servants are at some point found ”guilty”.

You can clearly see at some points that the makers of Higurashi no naku koro ni (when the chicadas cry) have been working on this project.  A lot of elements that made the Higurashi series good are also implemented here. If you don’t mind the story starting out the same and changing along the way, you’ll love this series as much as I do. (And I am not a big fan of repetition )  All in all a must watch series!

Dos años antes, durante los eventos en Final Fantasy VII…

Sephiroth, el “más grande SOLDADO que jamás haya habido”, ha invocado la técnica de máxima destrucción, “Meteor” para causar un máximo daño al planeta que le permita ubicarse frente atoda esa liberación de energía y convertirse en un dios. El protagonista del juego, Cloud y sus amigos logran detener al villano, mas no a tiempo para evitar que Meteor alcanzara el planeta. Qué sucedió después no se supo hasta hace poco (el juego original fue lanzado hacia 1997).

Debido a la enorme colisión de energías cuando el Corriente Vital emergió del planeta para detener a Meteor, las células de JENOVA, la entidad maligna atrapada en el planeta y que había guiado a Sephiroth, se han dispersado por el planeta y han infectado a mucha gente, particularmente a niños. Aquelos que sufren este mal, colectivamente conocido como Geoestigma padecen gran sufrimiento y expansión de las células de JENOVA como un tumor en sus cuerpos.
